Meet Chef Chris Vargoshe

Founder & Executive Chef

Chef Chris Vargoshe is the heart and hands behind Elevated Cuisine. His culinary journey began humbly—washing dishes at a seafood shack on Block Island—and evolved into a passion that has spanned decades and coasts. After years spent honing his skills in kitchens across New England and Colorado, he settled in Routt County, where his love for the mountains, the seasons, and locally grown ingredients shaped the foundation of Elevated Cuisine.

Chris’s cooking blends time-honored technique with playful creativity. You’ll find traditional sauces beside modernist flourishes, Colorado beef next to wild-foraged mushrooms, and every plate telling a story—one rooted in experience, seasonality, and soul.
